Long answer:
You should not. You have already paid for (hopefully, or at least legitimately acquired) Minecraft already, why should you pay again? I (@AndyHuang) am not running this server as a business, so I am not looking forward to collect money from you as a source of income. Instead, I am running this server out of interest, so all expenses are budgeted from my entertainment budget. Being a gamer with limited budget myself, I absolutely hate the idea of "pay-to-win" as a model of game, so you will never see me try to sell you anything.

This is a slippery slope I do not want to go down. However the good intentions may be, moving towards this direction will eventually turn for the worse. None of us would like to end up in a land where "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." ;)

Generally speaking, if a modification/texture pack gives you unfair advantage over others is disallowed. This includes, but is not limited to, things such as x-ray mod, flying mod, wireframe texture packs, and alike. Any pre-modified client you get from others is disallowed. So do not even bother to ask about your favorite non-griefing-intended-pre-modified client.
